The short answer

The total you pay EasyParaguay depends on the package you choose. In both packages, the official government fees and the translations of your documents are already included.

Standard

USD 1,300 total.USD 300 reservation online, balance paid locally. Two trips for residency and cédula, about 5–7 months.

Fast-Track

USD 1,700 total.USD 300 reservation online, balance paid locally. One main stay of about five business days for residency and cédula, about 4 months.

On your side

Your travel and accommodation, and the documents you obtain in your home country. Your document review lists exactly what you need.

What the package price includes

Both packages cover the temporary residency under Law 6984 and the Paraguayan cédula, coordinated from Asunción. RUC is included if needed and is completed in person during an additional visit to Paraguay.

  • Review of your documents before you travel.
  • A structured plan for every step in Asunción.
  • In-person assistance at the key appointments.
  • Official government fees for the steps in your package.
  • Translations of your documents into Spanish.
  • Follow-up until completion.

The total price is confirmed when you reserve and remains valid for up to 90 days from the booking date. If the process starts after that, the price may be adjusted to local conditions.

EasyParaguay is an independent coordination platform, not a law firm. The final decision on any residency application belongs to the Paraguayan authorities.

Official government fees in 2026

These are the official amounts charged by the Paraguayan authorities. They are already included in both EasyParaguay packages — you do not pay them again. We show them so you can see what part of the price goes to the State.

Official item Cash Debit card Credit card (Paraguayan / foreign)
Temporary residency — Law 6984/2022 (Migraciones) Gs. 2.926.925 Gs. 2.991.317 Gs. 3.007.415 / Gs. 3.023.514
Cédula, first issuance for foreigners (Identificaciones) Gs. 8.500 — —

Migraciones fees are set in daily minimum-wage units (“jornales”): the temporary residency fee is 25 jornales of Gs. 117.077 under the table in force since 1 July 2026 (Resolución DNM N° 478/2026). Card payments cost more because of processing commissions.

Official fees change. They follow the minimum wage and are updated by Migraciones. Amounts are shown in guaraníes as published; we do not convert them into a fixed dollar amount.

Standard or Fast-Track: what changes

Standard Fast-Track
Total price USD 1,300 USD 1,700
Reservation USD 300 USD 300
Official fees and translations Included Included
Trips to Paraguay 2 1 main stay (≈ 5 business days)
RUC (if requested) +1 in-person visit +1 in-person visit
Estimated timeline ≈ 5–7 months ≈ 4 months
Document review before travel Included Included

The official steps are the same in both packages. Fast-Track condenses the key appointments into one main stay with priority scheduling; Standard spreads them over two trips. Timelines are estimates: the authorities set the actual processing times.

What you budget for on your side

A few costs depend on you and your country, so they are not part of the package price.

  • Travel and accommodation in Asunción: flights, lodging and daily expenses during your stay or stays.
  • Documents from your home country, for example your birth certificate and criminal record certificate, and their apostille where required. The cost depends on your country.
  • Anything outside the package, such as additional family members or later procedures (see below).

Before you travel, the document review tells you which documents you need and how they must be prepared. See the apostille guide and the criminal record guide.

How the package changes your travel budget

The package price is only part of the picture: the number of trips also drives your total.

Standard — two trips

Two separate trips to Asunción for residency and cédula. Count two return journeys and the nights of each stay when you compare with Fast-Track. If you want the RUC, plan one more in-person visit with either package.

Fast-Track — one main stay

The key residency and cédula appointments are grouped into one main stay of about five business days, so one return journey and one block of accommodation.

What to compare

Add the package price to your travel and accommodation from your own city. Depending on where you travel from, fewer trips can offset part of the price difference.

Whichever package you choose, the official fees and translations are already included; only travel, accommodation and home-country documents change with your situation.

How payment works

Reserve online

You pay the USD 300 reservation online. It secures the coordination of your case.

Document review

Your documents are reviewed before you travel. If the review finds your case isn’t viable, the reservation is refunded in full.

Balance paid locally

The rest of the package price is paid locally in Paraguay during the process, according to the EasyParaguay process.

Official steps

The official fees included in your package are handled as part of the steps in Asunción.

Refund rule: the reservation is refunded in full only when the document review finds that your case isn’t viable. It is not refundable for a change of plans. Full terms: refund and reservation terms.

How to compare residency prices

The official fees are the same for everyone. What differs between providers — or doing it yourself — is what surrounds them.

  • Are the official government fees included in the quoted price, or added later?
  • Are translations included?
  • How many trips to Paraguay does the process require?
  • Is there a document review before you travel, and what happens if your case isn’t viable?
  • Is the price fixed at booking, and for how long?

Doing the process on your own avoids service fees, but you handle the requirements, translations, appointments and follow-up in Spanish yourself.

Costs after your residency

Temporary residency lasts up to two years and can be extended once for the same period (Law 6984, Article 46). Later procedures are separate from the package and have their own official fees, for example:

Later procedure (Migraciones) Official fee, cash
Extension of temporary residency Gs. 1.287.847
Permanent residency Gs. 2.926.925
Renewal of the permanent residence card (every 10 years) Gs. 468.308
